Eiger Trading Advisors Ltd is a UK-based asset-trading company, specializing as an intermediary in Islamic financial products. We facilitate Sharia'a-compliant financial products and services across the globe, connecting local economies to the asset-backed structures of Islamic Finance.

 

Since our formation in 2008, the company's goal has been to deliver technology-driven solutions to the Islamic Finance sector, drawing from expertise in Sharia'a-compliant banking, IT-development and physical asset trading.

 

Eiger Trading Advisors generates value through its network of relationships within physical commodities markets and Islamic finance, as well as its drive to provide the best services using the very latest in Information Technology. This specialization and focus provides a significant competitive advantage which benefits our clients.

 

We are a member of the London Metals Exchange (LME), the London Platinum and Palladium Market (LPPM), the British Coffee Association and are authorised and regulated by the UK's Financial Conduct Authority (FCA).

Management Team

Our UK office has fourteen staff, including the Management Team comprised of the following professionals:

Stephen Michael Openshaw started his banking career in the City of London in the Treasury of UBAF Bank Ltd in 1977. This was the commencement of a longstanding relationship with the Arab financial world including living 16 years in the Middle-East in Bahrain and Saudi Arabia. His most recent position was Head of Islamic Products at MF Global, with prior management responsibilities as FVP Assistant Treasury Manager, Interest Rate and Islamic Products at Arab Banking Corporation and Associate Director, Fixed Income and derivatives at Daiwa Europe Bank London.

 

Christopher McGuigan joined the Company from MF Global where he had worked for nearly twenty years. During this time Chris fulfilled a number of roles within the company, gaining exposure to and first class experience of a number of their business units. Chris has traded foreign exchange, precious and industrial metals, fixed income and commodities both as agent and most recently as a principal, responsible for his own proprietary book within the Treasury of MF Global. Whilst at MF Global he was also a key member of the team responsible for the development of Islamic Products and the development of markets in the Middle-East.
